  [S927] Obituary. Obituary: George Hieb Published: Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002 11:07 a.m. MST Beloved husband, father, grandpa and friend George Hieb passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2002. Dad was born July 15, 1925 in Regan, North Dakota to Conrad and Martha Hieb. He proudly served in the U. S. Army at the age of 20, from January 19, 1945 until December 2, 1946. His greatest loves were his family, God and country. He loved gardening and doing woodworking projects for his family and friends. He was an inspiration and a great source of strength for all that knew him. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. George is survived by his loving wife Lila, with whom he recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary; son, LeRoy (Sue), Twig, Minnesota; son, Larry (Nee), Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Linda (Merrill), Moab, Utah; daughter, Janice, Magna, Utah; son Randy (MayLene), West Jordan, Utah; daughter Julie (Kevin), West Jordan, Utah; 14 grandchildren; six great-grand-children; and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his son, David. Funeral services Friday, January 4, 2002, 12 Noon at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 8575 So. 700 East, where friends may call Friday one hour before the service.
