Mary K. Patton
PATTON, Mary Kathleen ?Kay? Linton, 83, formerly of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away on Monday, November 6, 2006 in the Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, Ill.
She was born July 16, 1923 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Keith Hupp Linton and Mary Kish Linton.
Mrs. Patton was a graduate of the former Triadelphia High School in Wheeling, and attended the Santa Ana Community College in California. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling; and was a retired employee at the First National Bank, now known as Wesbanco Bank in Wheeling. She was an avid volunteer and Past President of Carol Ladies; Past President of Pilot Club of Wheeling and Past District Treasurer of Pilot Club International; Past President of Oglebay Women?s Golf Association; past member of the Seeing Hand Board; member of Wheeling Hospital Auxiliary; member of St. Joseph Auxiliary; and a volunteer for 35 years at Wheeling Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Hupp Linton, Jr.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Ann Shatto and her husband, J. Douglas Shatto, of Antioch, Ill.; a brother, Joseph Lee Linton of Wheeling; four grandchildren, Lee (Corie,) Kathy (Dow,) Jay (Erin) and Matthew Shatto; ten great- grandchildren, Kayla, Devlyn, Lauren, Drew, Dow, Karsyn, Alexandria, Samantha, Jimmy and Mark of Zanesville, Ohio; her lifelong friend, Susanne Potts of Wheeling; her aunt, Ann Tomlinson of Glen Dale, W.Va.; plus several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received on Thursday, November 9, 2006 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, National Road at Bethany Pike, Wheeling.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1225 National Road, Wheeling, with the Reverend Anthony Cincinnati as celebrant.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
Christian Wake Services will be held Thursday evening at 8 p.m.
