Vosper Earl E. Vosper, age 75 of Perry Township, died Saturday evening at this home. He was born on January 4, 1929 in Logan, WV and was the son of the late Harley and Hazel (Cunningham) Vosper. He was raised in Woodsfield, Ohio and spent the remainder of his life in Stark County. He retired from the former Republic Steel Corporation. Earl volunteered with the Perry Township Fire Department for 29 years, as a 5th generation Mason, he was a member of the Clinton Lodge #47 F. & A. M., the Scottish Rite Valley of Canton and was active with the St. Joan of Arc Choir. Earl was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Doreen Evelyn (Brooks) Vosper, whom he married on December 4, 1993; his daughters, Gail (Mack) Perkowski of Newark, OH and Sue Guleff of Ft. Myers, FL; his son, Russ (Karen) Vosper of Sagamore Hills, OH; his stepsons, Lance and Steven Marshall both of Port St. Lucie, FL and Paul Marshall of Massillon; his grandchildren, Ivan Guleff of Ft. Myers, FL and Quintin and Avery Vosper of Sagamore Hills, OH; and his sisters, Pat (Dick) Shrake of Troy, OH, Gretchen Laflin of Kent, OH, Nancy (Tom) Straughn of Massillon and Flo Ellen Trenary of Mason, OH. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday one hour before the service. A luncheon will follow the service at the funeral home's Community Room. The family requests that memorials be made in Earl's name to the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department #3. The Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
