Charles W. Hendershot Charles William Hendershot, 83, of Dalzell, Whipple, Route 1, died Monday morning, October 25, 1965, at 2:15 o?clock, in Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born at Germantown December 19, 1881, a son of the late Elias and Barbara Stegner Hendershot. He was married to Della Dearth, who died November 28, 1961. Two brothers survive: Irvin Hendershot, of Dalzell, and John Hendershot, of Lower Salem Route, and a number of nieces and nephews. Five brothers, Joseph, Jacob, Peter, Manuel and Frank Hendershot, and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, preceded him in death. Mr. Hendershot had been employed by Pure Oil Co. for a number of years and for thirty-five years had operated a general store at Dalzell until his retirement in 1960. Short services were held Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 o?clock in the Doudna & McClure Funeral Home, at Marietta, with further services at the Dalzell Church of Christ at 1:30 o?clock.
