Full Obituary: Mary Lou Brown, age 75, passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside on Sunday, September 16, 2007. She was born in Monroe County, Ohio, to the late William and Frances Burkhart on August 12, 1932. She would tell you she was master of nothing, but her cooking was the best, her love was always unconditional, she put others before herself, and enjoyed many years of bowling as her athletic talent. She celebrated being free from cancer for 14 years and fought hard for the past 5 1/2 months for regained health from near-fatal pneumonia. She fell in love all over again to her surviving spouse, who spent each and every day with her, either at the hospital or healthcare facility. They recently celebrated 54 years together in marriage on May 9th, 2007. MOM UNKNOWINGLY SHOWED US ALL HOW TO LIVE OUR LIVES WITH LOVE, PATIENCE, THOUGHTFULNESS, KINDNESS, WISDOM, LAUGHTER, AND FAITH. HER GENTLE CARE IS NOW GONE FROM OUR SIGHT, BUT WILL LIVE IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER. Preceded in death by her youngest child, Brian David, on August 21, 2007, sister Evelyn Smith, brothers Norbert and Bernard. Survivors include her beloved husband, Bernie, of the home, Children, Karen Brown (Paul) Coulas, Patricia (Doug) Garren, Diana (Roger) Storch, Ruth (Kevin) Ferrell, Sandra Johnson, Cynthia (Keith) Howard, Dean (Lori) Brown. Grandchildren, Amy (JJ) Wertz, Craig Garren; Ryan, Jason, Devin Storch; Matthew, Chad, Katelyn Ferrell; Michelle, Beth Johnson; Kristin (Rock) Lippert, Karen, Stephen Howard; Julia, Jarod Brown. Great-Grandchildren Jonathan, Kaylee Wertz; Paige Garren; Rockell, Kayla, Leah Lippert; Jacob Johnson. Two sisters, Rita Geier and Phyllis Hietala. There are numerous supportive extended family members and friends also surviving. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton with Con-Celebrants, Rev. Fr. Vincent Freeh, MSC and Rev. Fr. Gerald Sommer, MSC. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville, OH.
