Noll, 89, died at 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Muskingum County Home in Zanesville, following a long illness. He was born Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1920, in Dexter City, the son of John A. and Mary E. (Swick) Noll. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, and was a former member of St. Thomas Holy Name Society. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired after 19 years at David Davies Meat Packing. He also worked for 15 years at McGraw Edison. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Noll is survived by three sons, Richard Noll and Donald Noll, both of Zanesville, and Robert (Janice) Noll of Poland; a daughter, Mary Jane Noll of Zanesville; and four granddaughters, Julianne, Molly, Christina and Amy. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Guinsler Noll, who died in 1986; six sisters and one brother. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a Christian Vigil service at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 19, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 144 North Fifth Street. Burial will conclude in the Mount Calvary Cemetery at Zanesville. Arrangements are by the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave. in Zanesville.
