Obituary (from Betty Hartley): Sherry Lee Burkhart 18, of Route 1, Barnesville, was dead on arrival at Barnesville Hospital Sunday night, July 22, 1979, following a vehicular accident on Rt 379 in Somerset Township. She was born in Barnesville, July 8, 1961, a daughter of Charles and Neva Stephens Burkhart. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temperanceville, and was a member of the Class of 1979 of Barnesville High School. Friends were received at Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home, Tuesday, and the Rosary was said there Tuesday evening at 8. The Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Mary's Church Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. Father George Goodbout officiating. Burial was made in St. Mary's Cemetery. In addition to her parents, she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Darrell (Debra) Leach of Summerfield, and Miss Patricia Burkhart of the home; a brother, Charles Michael Burk- hart, at home; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stephens, of Route 1.
