Maurice Fredrich Allerdings, 85, was born on Nov. 20, 1924, a son of Fredrich and Louisa (Heiser) Allerdings on the Allerdings homestead southeast of Plevna, Mont.
Maurice grew up on the family farm and attended the Ehret Country School. He later attended the Plevna High School.
Following his graduation from Plevna High in 1942, Maurice worked for his parents on their farm, eventually taking over the Allerdings homestead. In 1980 Maurice incorporated the operation with his sons. Semi-retired, he continued to live and work on the ranch until his death. Maurice met the love of his life, Helen K. Freier, and the two were married on Oct. 6, 1946, at Emmanuel Congregational Church in Plevna, Mont.
They celebrated 58 years of marriage and to this union were blessed with five children, Allen, Arlis, Merlin, Clinton and Jolene. They raised their family on the farm, where they both lived until their death.
Maurice was a member of the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church in Plevna where he faithfully served his Lord and Church as a Deacon, Sunday School superintendent, was in the choir and the mens quartet. He was active in the Plevna Senior Citizens and served on the Plevna TV board.
He loved traveling and took advantage of many opportunities to do so. He enjoyed having coffee and socializing with his friends and neighbors. He followed many sporting events of his children, grandchildren and enjoyed attending other community events, as well. He also enjoyed the challenge of a good pool game at the Senior Center with his friends. Maurice took great pride in having a modern and functional shop and his ability to fix things. His main love was for the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom he accepted as his personal Savior following his marriage to Helen.
It was through Gods blessing that he and Helen were able to raise their family in a loving home enriched in Christian values. It brought great joy to Maurice and Helen to see these values passed down to their childrens families. Maurices greatest love in life was his wife who he lovingly cared for until her death as well as his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
