Barbara Marjorie Clark

Barbara Marjorie Clark, 82, of Stockton passed away early Friday, June 12th 2009 in a Stockton hospital. She was born May 17th, 1927 at McCleay, Oregon. She was raised and attended school in the Lodi and Lockeford area before settling in Stockton. She worked as a medical assistant for 25 years prior to retirement.
Mrs. Clark was the last charter member of Zion Lutheran Church which was established in 1943. She was a charter member of the Stockton Police Women's Auxiliary and was the first sales manager of Tupperware in Stockton.
She was past president of the Medical Assistants Association. A member of the Women's Auxiliary, Moose Lodge #93 of Stockton, Stockton Eagles Auxiliary, Aeries #83, past president and past treasurer of the Stockton Grandmothers Club and member of the Mended Hearts Chapter #40 of Stockton.
Her son, Ron Clark preceded her in death. Also by her 4 sisters, Bertha Mehlhaff, Dorothy Taddei, Ann Rathjen, Margaret Littau, 7 brothers: John, Jack, Andrew, Fred, Richard, Arthur and Benjamin Guthmiller.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ed Clark of Stockton; her sons Duane (Terry) Clark of Stockton, Dennis (Wendy) Clark of Valley Springs; grandchildren: Todd Stockton, Dana Durand, Matt, Kristi, Mitchell, Natalie, Bryan and Allison Clark; 3 great grandchildren: Kaley Stockton, Mia Durand and Hendrik Clark; sister, Martha Egelston of San Jose, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 808 Porter Ave., Stockton, CA. Committal will be at Lodi Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Donahue Funeral Home, 123 N. School St., Lodi, CA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Mended Hearts Inc. Chapter #40, P.O. Box 4174, Stockton, CA 95204 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
