June 16, 1973, in Akron General Medical Center. A native of Monroe Co., he lived in the Akron area 46 yrs., and was a native of Adoniram Lodge 517, F. & A.M., 7 the Acacia Club. Mr. Betts was a retired B. F. Goodrich pipe shop foreman. At Goodrich, he was a member of the Foreman?s Club and the 20-Year Club. Surviving are his wife, Leona V. Betts; three daughters, Mrs. James (Janice) Brock, of Bath, O., Mrs. Dennis (Karen) Richards, of Copley, O. and Miss Debra Betts, of the home; 1 grandson, Terry Brock, of Bath; 4 brothers, Lawrence Betts, of Shelby, Theodore Betts, of Tiro, O., Albert Taylor, of Bucyrus, and Clarence Taylor, of Mount Gilead; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Sarah Graham & Mrs. Barbara Kurzen, of Bucyrus, & Mrs. Rose Loomis, of LaMesa, California. Services were held Tuesday afternoon, June 19th, at three o?clock, in the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, with Rev. Jean A. Saylor officiating. Interment was in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
