Walter C. Balser Walter Creed Balser, 76, of Ravenswood passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at his home. He was born June 28, 1931, in Wood County, the son of the late Marshall Creed and Estella Tennessee Pfalzgraff Balser. He graduated from Parkersburg High School, worked at Kaiser Aluminum and was a member of the Comet United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Creed Balser; two sisters, Mary Eloise Townsend and Patsy Daley. He is survived by his wife, Helen Balser; a son, Allen Scott Balser (Donna) of Sandyville; daughters, Terry Lynn Wolford (Bobby) of Sandyville and Christie Hoschar (Rick) of Cottageville; grandchildren, Tracy Wolford, JR Wolford, Nikki Balser, Cassie Balser, Jeremy Balser, Justin Creed Balser, Cody Balser, Tashina Castle, Bobbi Jo Hoschar and Ricky Hoschar. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Steve Rhoades officiating. Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
