  [S927] Obituary. Services were held on October 3, 2009 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Viborg, SD. Julia K. Hansen was born July 30, 1921 at Menno. Her parents were Emil and Regina (Pfeifle) Neuharth. She graduated from Menno High School and then worked as a housekeeper in Menno. She married Martin Hansen on June 1, 1941 and they made their home in Viborg. Martin passed away on December 29, 1979. Julia enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, quilting, watching sports, visiting, and spending time with her family. Julia passed away on September 29, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Centerville. She had attained the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son Jerry, 1 brother Harold Neuharth, 2 sisters Martha Murphy and Dorothy French. Julia is survived by 1 daughter Joan (Everett) Knutson of Centerville; 3 sons Russel (Maureen) of Wichita, KS, Ron (Barbara) of Rapid City, and Glen (Paulette) of Gilbert, AZ; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 daughter-in-law JoAnn Hansen of Viborg; 1 brother Glen Neuharth of Salem, OR; 3 sisters Audrey Wheeler of Salem, OR, Minnie Hunnex of Salem, OR, and Lorilee (Boyd) Barth of Lodi, CA; and many other relatives and friends.
