ADOLPH AND BARBARA KOERNER
Adolph Koerner, the son of Andrew and Emelia (Herrman) Koerner, was born
November 16, 1889, on a farm northeast of Eureka, South Dakota. This is where
he grew up and helped his parents with the farming.

On November 18, 1913, he was united in marriage with Barbara Klooz. Barbara,
the daughter of Fred and Barbara (Spitzer) Klooz, was born January 9, 1895 at
Eureka. As a child, she moved with her family to California. Later they
returned to the Long Lake area where she grew up and attended school.
After their marriage they settled on a farm thirteen miles northeast of Eureka,
until 1946 when they retired and moved to Eureka.
Adolph and Barbara were members of the Reformed Church at Eureka.
They were the parents of two sons. Milbert R. Koerner was born June 26, 1915.
He and his wife spend the winter months in Harlington, Texas. They make their
home in Aberdeen, South Dakota during the summer months. Ray C. Koerner was
born September 14, 1922. Ray and his wife live in Buena Park, California.
Barbara passed away on October 3, 1981 and Adolph on May 11, 1982, at Aberdeen,
South Dakota where they had resided since 1979.
