Inez Schnabel, 92, Mitchell, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Sanford Hospice Cottage, Sioux Falls. She was born Dec. 24, 1920. Funeral services were held Jan. 9 at Grace Reformed Church, Mitchell. Burial was in Friedens Reformed Cemetery, Tripp. Arrangements were handled by Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell. Inez Ingrid Schnabel was born to Benjamin and Jennie (Swanson) Lunn at Kimball. She grew up in the Parkston area with her family. Inez and Ruben A. Schnabel were united in marriage June 4, 1944, at Friedens United Church of Christ in Tripp. Inez and Ruben were members of Grace Reformed Church, Mitchell. She enjoyed her married life working on the farm, gardening and raising her family. Inez had an endless ?green thumb? for growing flowers and bringing out their real beauty, indoors and out. She spent many hours creating pictures with oil paints that are enjoyed by family and friends. She will always be remembered for her creative talents. Inez is survived by one son, David and wife, Anita, of Sioux Falls; three daughters: Linda Schnabel, Sioux Falls; Jacqueline and husband, Jim Rucks, of Rice, Minn.; Christi Russo of Denver, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald Lunn , Chamberlain. Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben; her parents; two sons, Robert and Michael; two brothers, Robert and Kenneth; and three sisters, Ruth, Eleanor and Mildred. Tags: obituaries, mitchell
