- Hi,
I am looking for ancestors in Pleisweiler-Oberhofen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. What I know :
Peter Franz (Pierre François) SCHAUER, born : 20/03/1803, in Pleisweiler, death : 16/05/1874, in Le Havre, France
Father : Jacob SCHAUER, death : 22/05/1810, in Pleisweiler, age : 40 years, son of : Caspar Schaurer and Margueritha Dietrich,
Mother : Elisabetha BOELZER (BÖLZER), death : 13/12/1805 in Pleisweiler, age : 30 years.
They used to live in the house N° 63. Where it was in Pleisweiler ? When SCHAUER and BOLZER were married ?
Thank you for your help !

Hi,
I am from France, looking for ancestors from the SCHAUER family because one of thememigrated to France : Pierre Francois (Petrus Franciscus) SCHAUER, born 11/15/1803, in Pleisweiler.
Pleisweiler (actual name Pleisweiler-Oberhofen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany) was a French village from 1791 to 1814. Then it was returned to Pfalz, Bavaria.
From different certificates in France, his parents are :
- father : Jacobus SCHAUER,
- mother : Elizabeth BOLZER,
both died before 1836.
Pleisweiler (also written Bleisweiller or Pleisweiller) is closed to Bad Bergzabern where the name SCHAUER seems not rare.
Any information on them will be greatly appreciated !
Henri
