Sharon Rose Chamberlain
Sharon Rose Chamberlain, 71 of Normal, died at 11:20 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at Heritage Manor, Normal.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday (5-17-11) at Epiphany Catholic Church, Normal, with Monsignor Eric Powell officiating. Private family interment will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday (5-16-11) at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington. Additional visitation will be for ½ hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Easter Seals or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, in honor of Sharon?s grandchildren.
Sharon was born August 17, 1939 Kewanee, the daughter of Harold and Leona Thurwanger Brignadello. She married Larry E. Chamberlain on June 24, 1961 in Kewanee. He died June 30, 2003.
Surviving are her children, Lori (Dave) Scott of Normal, Marcie (Bill) Powell of Monroe, MI and Bruce Chamberlain of Bloomington; eight grandchildren, Luc Chamberlain, Madisen, Keely and Parker Theobald and Charlie, Ellie, William and Leah Powell; and her step-mother, Naomi Brignadello of Kewanee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Harold ?Denny? Brignadello and a son-in-law, Peter Theobald.
Sharon was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church, Normal and the Bloomington Moose Lodge. After raising her children, she worked at Illinois State University, State Farm Insurance Companies and other local businesses. She took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and attending their various activities. Sharon was a very caring and loving person who always put the needs of others first. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Her family would like to express heartfelt appreciation for the love and care she received from the wonderful people at Evergreen Assisted Living and Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Sharon loved life to the fullest and will be forever missed
