  [S927] Obituary. Althea Mehlhaff, 93, Parkston, died Friday, June 5, 2009, at Good Samaritan Center, Tripp. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Baptist Church, Parkston. Burial will be in Parkston Protestant Cemetery, Parkston. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Parkston, with a 7 p.m. prayer service. She was born on Feb. 26, 1916, at Parkston, to Herman P. and Emilie (Dewald) Schnell. She attended Parkston Elementary and high school through the 11th grade. She was a waitress in caf?s, including 35 years at Schuvers Caf? in Parkston. On Dec. 1, 1973, she married Alton R. Mehlhaff. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church the Unger-Fergen American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary of Parkston and the Womens Relief Corps. She became a resident of the Tripp Good Samaritan Center on Dec. 29, 2003. She is survived by a sister-in-law: Beryle Schnell, Springfield, Ore.; 13 nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 9, 1992; her parents; three brothers: Gustave, Rupert; and Herman; two sisters: Gertrude Breitbach and Loretta Hoff; and two brothers-in-law: William J.
