Austin 'Pete'
Moulin
Age 92 of Alliance, passed away on Christmas, Dec. 25, 2009 at his home following a recent illness. He was born Nov. 21, 1917 in Lexington Township to the late Phillip and Sophia Moulin. Pete retired Nov. 30, 1985 from Moulin Products, Inc. a company founded by him and his wife in 1957. Prior to that, he was employed by the Alliance Manufacturing Company as a foreman and tool engineer. He was a life-long member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg and a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Senior Citizens, the Lexington Ruritan Club and the Science Hill School Historical Society. Pete's hobbies included traveling and visiting and playing cards with his friends.
Pete is survived by his daughter, Trudy Ann (William) Friedrich; son, Richard Joseph (Patti) Moulin; two grandsons, Matthew (Laura) Moulin and Michael Moulin; two granddaughters, Melissa Moulin and Michelle Moulin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Rita Mary (Schwallie) Moulin whom he married Nov. 25, 1938; his brother, Albert Moulin and sister, Agnes Rich.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg with Rev. Fr. Howard Ziemba officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pete's family will receive friends Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity or organization of the donor's choice.
