GEYER, Dorothy Jane (Dotti) Kamp, 48, of Norwich, died of ovarian cancer at 8:52 a.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House, Zanesville.
She was born August 15, 1960, in Wheeling, W.Va., a daughter of Nile Kamp of Woodsfield, Ohio and the late Jane Feldner Kamp. Dottie was a language arts teacher at John Glenn High School for 23 years.
She graduated as valedictorian of her class at Woodsfield High School, was a graduate of Muskingum College and earned her Masters in Education degree from Marygrove College. She served as class advisor and advisor to the school newspaper. Dotti was a member of the College Drive Presbyterian Church, New Concord.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, J. Andrew Geyer; daughter Jane Emilie, who will be a freshman at The Ohio State University in the fall; son Benjamin Andrew, who will be a sophomore at Marietta College in the fall; sisters Caroline (Byrd) Howard and Julie Kemp; mother-in-law Emilie Geyer; sisters-in-law Jenny Dodson, Billie (Tim) Strader Geyer, Amy (Dick) Liming and Holly (Mike) Doro; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, May 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, May 13 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mock-Miller Funeral Home, 63 West Main St., New Concord. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 14 at the College Drive Presbyterian Church, 2 West High St., New Concord with the Rev. Tom Houston and Dr. James Burson officiating.
Burial will be in Norwich U.P. Cemetery.

Janice Lapp (47767300) pointed out to me that Dorothy wasn't in the
Presbyterian, but was in the Methodist cemetery in Norwich. These 2
cemeteries are beside each other.
