ELDO AND FRIEDA FAUTH Mr. and Mrs. Eldo Fauth and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Fauth. Eldo Fauth was born November 25, 1915. He is the son of Christian and Eva (Hoff) Fauth. He attended rural school to the eighth grade. Father Christian Fauth passed away October 22, 1918. His mother resides in the Sunrise Plaza in Eureka. Eldo had one brother, Walter Fauth, born July 27, 1917 and died June 7, 1964. He also has a half brother, Harvey Weller and a half sister Viola Oswald. Eldo married Freida Fischer on November 5, 1939. She is the daughter of David and Elizabeth (Beck) Fischer. Freida was born July 22, 1919 and grew up on a farm sixteen miles southeast of Eureka. She attended rural school and grew to young womanhood. She has two brothers and one sister: Wilbert Fischer, Fargo, North Dakota and his twin Wilma (Wilmer) Boschee, Bowdle, South Dakota and Harry Fischer, Hosmer, South Dakota. Both her parents are deceased. David died December 16, 1975 and Elizabeth died September 15, 1976. The Fauths were blessed with one son, Curtis, born September 18, 1947. He spent two years in the armed forces, one year overseas in Viet Nam. His parents considered it one of the hardest times to live through. He is married to Fay Ackerman and they reside in Wishek, North Dakota where he manages the Travel Host Motel. The Fauths farmed three miles east of Eureka, and sold the farm to the Lapp Brothers in 1975, after farming 36 years. They retired in Eureka. Their church affiliation is Zion Lutheran in Eureka. Freida enjoys cooking and baking, and Eldo likes to garden and read. The Fauths state of all their memories they will never forget the blizzard of '66 and the hardships it caused.
