HAROLD AND DORIS NEUHARTH Harold Neuharth, son of George and Kate (Roth) Neuharth, was born November 14, 1924, at Eureka. His father was born March 10, 1899, at Eureka, and passed away in August 1974. His mother was born February 9, 1902 at Venturia, North Dakota, and passed away November 24, 1981. They farmed northeast of Eureka. Harold has two brothers: Calvin Neuharth of Eureka, and Dennis Neuharth of Tolland, Connecticut, and two sisters: Norma Stoebner-Meyer of Forbes, North Dakota, and Gladys Schmidt of Newburg, California. On October 16, 1948, Harold was married to Doris Gross of Hosmer, South Dakota. Her parents were Albert and Rose Gross. Albert is deceased and Rose is living in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Harold and Doris made their first home northeast of Hosmer, then moved to a farm southeast of Eureka, where they lived until Harold's death on November 9, 1978. Doris is now living in Aberdeen. They were blessed with two daughters. Patsy was born March 21, 1954, and is married to Bryan Mehlhaff. They have one daughter, Heather, and are making their home in Eureka. The second daughter, Robin, was born February 26, 1957, married Tom Weigel, and they reside in Ipswich, South Dakota, with their two children, Joshua and Samantha. Harold and Doris belonged to the Reformed Church in Eureka. Harold was a veteran of World War II.
