EMIL AND ERNESTINE (HAGEL) NEUHARTH Emil and Ernestine Neuharth Emil Neuharth was born November 10, 1907 at Eureka, to Jacob and Fredricka Aman. Jacob was born February 10, 1884 at Menno, South Dakota and Fredricka on January 14, 1887 at Eureka. Jacob passed away April 5, 1964 and his wife on June 20, 1937. Emil was one of ten children that include: Edward, Fred, Ann, Bertha, Reuben, Henry, Esther and a boy and girl that passed away in infancy. Emil received seven years of schooling and was engaged in farming. On March 20, 1932 Emil married Ernestine Hagel, daughter of Jacob and Carolina Schauer Hagel. Ernestine was one of seven children that include: Peter, Emil, Magdalena, Leah, Martin and Edwin. Her father, Jacob Hagel, was born November 20, 1888 in Russia and mother, Carolina, was born August 25, 1890 in McIntosh County, North Dakota. Ernestine received five years of schooling. Three children were born to the Neuharths: Ariel, married to Shirley Jung and lives in Eureka. They have five children, Sharon, Lee, Nancy, Kristi and Paula. Arlet married to Harvey Wolff, was born February 14, 1935, lives in Wishek, North Dakota and has two sons, David and George. Marvolene is married to Delmer Wolff. The Neuharths are members of the Eureka Reformed Church. Besides farming Emil has done construction work. Ernestine enjoys quilting.
