Obituary from Canton Repository, Tues, Apr. 6, 2004Richard P. Begue Richard P. ?Richie? Begue, age 79, of Louisville, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2004, in his home surrounded by his children following a courageous, eleven year battle with Cancer. Richard was born February 3, 1925, in Marlboro to the late Louis and Mary (Frank) Begue. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving with the 116th Army Engineers Combat Battalion. Richard was an avid gardener and lifelong farmer who especially enjoyed his John Deere tractors. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family. He was a former machinist for the Hannon Electric Company prior to his retirement following 27 years of service. Richard was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg. Richard?s family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Medical Center Hospice and Dr. Nashat Gabrail and his staff, especially Jonathan, Lynn and Carrie of the kindness and loving care shown their father during his illness. Richard is survived by his loving daughters, Cynthia L. (Floyd) Stewart, Diane M. (Dan) Johnson, Joan E. Misorski, Elizabeth A. (Jerry) Joseph, Barbara J. (Randy) Kellams and Theresa A. (Joseph) Bressi; by his devoted sons, Patrick R. (Libby), Paul D. (Ruth), Mark S. (Sue), Gary J. (Cindy) and Louis E. (Gina); sisters, Delores Thomas, Elinor Rutter, Annie McArdle, Pauline Calendine and Norma Rich; brothers, Harold and Louis Beague; 20 wonderful grandchildren; and seven adoring great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian, who passed away September 30, 2003; son, Robert, who passed away May 16, 2003; two sisters and two brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg with Rev. Fr. William Kraynak officiating. Internment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville.
