Gambs, who died Wednesday at his home in Smithland.Mr. Gambs, a former deputy sheriff and well known throughout Woodbury county, was 67 years of age. He is survived by his widow and two brothers, Roy Gambs and Lawn Gambs.Mr. Gambs had been in Oklahoma and Texas for a number of years, returning to Smithland last spring. During the late 80s he served as deputy sheriff under Sheriffs Dan McDonald, Dave Magee and Dave Magner.Lynne Moffitt

Both are well known in Beaver, having attended Normal the past two years, and having taught in the public schools of this county.
