B4:Twila Ebbert BauerTwila Bauer, 90, a longtime resident of Gig Harbor, died Sept. 15, 1995. Twila was born in Walla Walla, WA on Sept. 26, 1904. She was the youngest of 7 children born to Mansfield and Aldorah McGrew. She grew up in Walla Walla and graduated from Washington State University in 1926, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She moved to Everett, WA where she taught physical education until her marriage to Joseph Harrison Ebbert in April, 1943. They moved to Wollochet Bay in Gig Harbor in 1945, where she has resided since. After her husband's death in 1955, she married Walter W. Bauer in 1963. Twila loved her home and her garden, and most of all her family. She was admired by those who knew her for having a style all her own and a cheerful disposition.She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, . . . and 2 granddaughters, . . . .The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to staff at Gig Harbor Health are who cared for her during her final days.At her request there will be no service. Twila will be buried next to her husband, Joe Ebbert, in Walla Walla. In lieu of flowers, please make remembrances to the Vera T. Davis Orthopedic Guild, Tacoma Orthopedic Association, Tacoma, WA.
