Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Church of St. Anne, Bismarck, with the Rev. Edwin Wehner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Kathryn Hopfauf was born Dec. 5, 1921, in St. Anthony, the daughter of Joseph and Rosa (Miller) Leingang. She was raised and attended school in St. Anthony. On June 1, 1943, Kathryn married Sebastian Hopfauf at St. Anthony. They farmed in Fallon, south of St. Anthony, for eight years before moving to Bismarck in 1950. Kathryn worked at the Coffee Cup Café, Scott's 5 & 10 Cent Store and retired from Red Owl grocery store. Kathryn enjoyed dancing, crocheting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. Kathryn is survived by her four sons and one daughter, Jim and Lenore, Bismarck, Ken and Pat, Rapid City, S.D., Tom, Odessa, Texas, Shirley and Dave Sundemeier, Elwood, Neb., and Ron and Roxanne, Bismarck; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Hildegard Hatzenbuehler and Emma Stegmiller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sebastian; her parents; three brothers, Jack Leingang, Joe Leingang and Tony Leingang.
