Mildred B. ?Midge? Christman, 98, of 205 Roy Street, Woodsfield, Ohio died Monday, September 1, 2008 at the Monroe County Care Center, Woodsfield, Ohio.She was born at Lewisville, Ohio on July 13, 1910 a daughter of the late Winfield and Mary Jeanette Burkhart Dearth and was raised by the late David and Rosetta Stimpert.She was a retired clerk at the former K-V Store in Woodsfield, Ohio; a member of the Richfork Church of Christ near Woodsfield, Ohio; a member of the Monroe County Humane Society and was a member of the Happy Heart Singers. She also enjoyed painting pictures as her hobby and enjoyed cooking.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul ?Pete? Christman; one step-son, Kenneth Christman; one step-daughter, Pat Hupp; two brothers, Floyd Dearth and Paul Dearth; four half brothers, Carl, James, Donald and Robert Dearth; two half sisters, Nellie Maszgay and Mae Williams; two sons-in-law; Bill Weddle and J.D. Hupp; one step great grandson.Surviving are one daughter: Doris Weddle of Woodsfield, Ohio; two half sisters: Irene McKenzie and Alice Cash both of Lodi, Ohio; four grandchildren: Andrea Workman, Jeff (Anne) Weddle, Jerry (Debra) Weddle and Kathy Christman; several great grandchildren.Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008 where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2008 with Will Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
