JOHN A. BURKHART DIES AT WHEELINGSUMMERFIELD - Mrs. A. F. Fields and Mrs. L. A. Wheatley have been notified of the death of their cousin, John Albert Burkhart, 31, which occurred Sunday [8 Jan 1939] at his home, 1604 McCollich street, Wheeling, following a few days? illness. He was a son of the late John Burkhart and Mrs. Amelia Biedenbach Burkhart, both natives of Monroe county. Surviving are his mother and a brother, Nelson, of the home. Funeral services will be held at 8 o?clock Wednesday morning in St. Joseph?s cathedral, Wheeling. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Louis Kress, Fulda, is an aunt and members of her family and Mrs. Fields will attend the funeral.
