PELLEY, Mary Belle Witzberger, 82, of Elm Grove, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, in Liza's Place, Wheeling. She was born June 12, 1927, in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Edward and Isabelle E. Singer Witzberger.
Mary Belle was a retired Secretary of A.E. Pelley & Son, Inc., a member of St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling and a high school graduate of the former St Joseph Academy, Wheeling.
She was a past President of the Auxiliary of WV Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors; a member of the 3rd Order of Mary; a member of the Wheeling Park Women's Golf Club; a member of the Italian American Club and a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Altar Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Gregory Vopal and two sisters, Evelyn West and Marguerite Seabright.
Surviving are her loving husband of 58 years, Arch E. Pelley, Jr.; two sons, Arch E. "Ed" Pelley, III of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Patrick A. Pelley, Sr and his wife, Cynthia of Lewisberry, Pa.; two daughters, Camielle Laudermilt and her husband, Ray A. of Wheeling and Christine A. Vopal and her husband, Gregory of Wheeling; a brother, Edward Witzberger and his wife Vera of Wheeling; a sister, Alberta "Betty" Zinn of Wheeling; a sister-in-law, Leah Neiman of Wheeling; ten grandchildren, Antoinette Nolte, Ray "R.A." Laudermilt, James Vopal, Kathleen Loughman, Kerry Alberts, Christopher Vopal, Patrick Pelley, Jr, George Vopal, III, Jared Pelley and John Pelley; four great- grandchildren, Robbie Nolte, Sophia and Fletcher Vopal and Colin Loughman; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Gary Corfont.
Friends received on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St, Wheeling.
Funeral Liturgy with the Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009 at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 2244 Marshall Ave, Wheeling with the Reverend Edwin L. Keel, S. M. as Celebrant.
Interment in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Rosary Devotions will be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday evening.
