  [S927] Obituary. Parkersburg News & Sentinel - February 2, 2012 Marie Margaret Wanstreet Cawley, 93, of Parkersburg died Jan. 28, 2012, at the Pines at Glenwood in Marietta, Ohio. She was born Sept. 17, 1918 in Leupold, W.Va., a daughter of the late John H. and Margaret A. Sweeney Wanstreet. She was an alumna of DeSales Heights Academy, Doddridge County High School and Mountain State College. She had retired from the Bureau of Public Debt. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was devoted to her family. She is survived by one daughter, Anne M. Smith and husband Anthony of Vienna; three grandchildren, Katherine M. Smith Crumbaker and husband Chad of Parkersburg, Laura-Elizabeth A. Smith and Brendan M. Smith of Vienna; one great-grandson, Chase E. Crumbaker and one expected great-grandson, Caden B. Crumbaker. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, F. Paul Cawley; a son, Charles J. Cawley; one brother, Monsignor Joseph W. Wanstreet; sister in laws, Mary C. O'Brien and Agnes C. Gorrell. There will be a private funeral Mass held at the convenience of the family with burial to follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
