Bob Eisenhauer
John Robert ?Bob? Eisenhauer, 91 of Huntington died at 6:45 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Heritage of Huntington. He was 1934 graduate of Huntington High School and attended St. Joseph College in Renssalaer, Indiana. Mr. Eisenhauer worked for 36 years as a conductor for the Erie Railroad and was a member of the United Transportation Union. He also enjoyed coordinating the Erie Railroad Veteran?s Organization?s dinner for many years. He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a long time member of the former Huntington Exchange Club. Bob was an avid fan of Chicago Cubs baseball. He was born May 20, 1916 in Huntington, a son of Andrew Joseph and Helena Mary (Martin) Eisenhauer. He was united in marriage to Marilouise U. Lauby in December 1944 in Chicago. She preceded him in death on March 3, 1998. Additional survivors include two sons, Michael Eisenhauer of Huntington and John Ferris of Tipp City, Ohio; a daughter, Jacklyn Young of Huntington; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Andrew and Joseph Eisenhauer; and two sisters Helene and Adeline Eisenhauer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 from 2:00 ? 4:00 PM and 6:00 ? 8:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington. A rosary service will be held at 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington with Father John Pfister officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. Preferred memorials can be made to: Masses, or to the Knights of Columbus Pitch-in Fund or to the Open Door Ministry of St. Mary Catholic Church, c/o Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750
