OBITUARY: BETHEL M. NICHTER, 78, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital. Born Aug. 28, 1925, in Jackson, Ky., she worked for Capehart-Farn-sworth for 10 years. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Rosary Society and 50 Plus Club at the church. Surviving are her sons, Alan Nichter and Gary Nichter, both of Fort Wayne; brother, Rodney Lansaw of Churubusco; sisters, Dorothy Faurote and Delphia Lauer, both of Fort Wayne and Shirlee Sidicane of Tennesee; one step-grandchild; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawerence E. Nichter, in 1999; 6 brothers; and one sister. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday at Queen of Angel Catholic Church, 1500 W. State St., with the Rev. John Pfister officiating. Prayer service is 10:30 a.m Monday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells St. Visitation is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with vigil service at 7 p.m. Burial at Catholic Cemetery.
