    OBITUARY: From the Huntington Herald Press Online, September 29, 1999 Herman H. Johnson, 92, formerly of 2121 Guilford St., died Tuesday (Sept. 28, 1999) at Millers Merry Manor. Mr. Johnson was assistant postmaster for the U. S. Postal Service in Huntington, retiring in 1965 after 37 years of service. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He was born Jan. 16, 1907, to Henry and Mary Elizabeth Eisenhauer Johnson. He married Loretta Ness Nov. 27, 1929. She died July 30, 1983. Survivors include a son, Raymond Johnson, Huntington; three daughters, Sister Joan Elizabeth, South Bend, Mrs. Patrick (Susan) Landrigan, Fort Wayne, and Ann Marie Kastner, North Manchester; a brother, Harold Johnson, Huntington County; 20 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew Johnson, Edward Johnson and Norbert Johnson; and a great-grandchild. Calling is from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday, with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m., at the Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 840 Cherry St., with Father Robert Fosselman officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

    Herman married Loretta Marie Ness on 27 Nov 1929 in Indiana, USA.
