CARENCRO - Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30, 2009 at an 1p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for , age 69, who passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.
Rev. Bill Melancon, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Mr. Fabacher was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Youngsville for most of his life. He was a veteran of the military having served with the U. S Marines.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Schexnayder Fabacher of Youngsville; four sons, Kevin Fabacher and his wife, Mary, of New Iberia, Vaughn Fabacher, Edmond Fabacher, Jr. and Glenn Fabacher, all of Youngsville; one daughter, Lynn Barnes of Youngsville; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four brothers, Clarence Fabacher, Jr. of Lafayette, Marshall Fabacher and his wife, Jeny, of Texas, Michael Fabacher of Baton Rouge and Keith Fabacher and his wife, Sam, of Fort Walton, FL; five sisters, Theresa Ann Manuel of Lake Charles, Dorothy Fabacher, Brenda Fabacher, both of Lafayette, Angela Short and her husband, Ricky, of Broussard, and Madeline Short and her husband, Deanie, of Maurice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence John Fabacher, Sr. and the former Theresa Hollier; one daughter, Cheryl Fabacher; one brother, Randall Fabacher; and two sisters, Lucille Suire and Emily Mullins.
A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Deacon Gary Gaudin with be praying the Rosary.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. Friday until service time on Friday.
