  [S927] Obituary. Elaine D. DeSherlia, 65, died at 3:37 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Saint Anthony?s Hospital in Alton. She was born May 9, 1941, in Hardin to Guy and Pearl (Angel) Hazelwonder. She married James J. DeSherlia on Oct. 17, 1956, in Iowa. He died Sept. 13, 1999.She was a homemaker and a member of St. Norbert?s Catholic Church in Hardin and the Altar Society for over 30 years. She is survived by a son, Tim DeSherlia of Hardin; two daughters, Vicki Delp of Jerseyville and Wanda Blackwell of Hardin; seven grandchildren, Jarett, Jeremy, Jacob, Bradley, Brandon, James and Courtney; two great-grandchildren, Jace and Lillian; and two sisters, Lillian Preston of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Daisy Faire of California.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Mike, Gene and Sonny Hazelwonder, and three sisters, Leota Robeen and two in infancy. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until a Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Norbert?s Catholic Church in Hardin. Father Bill Kessler will officiate.Burial will be at St. Norbert?s Cemetery in Hardin.Memorials may be made to the Calhoun Ambulance Service or the Calhoun Relay for Life.Hanks-Gubser Funeral Home in Hardin is in charge of arrangements.
