Billman, Charles F. Billman

Charles F. Billman, 92, of 462 Jennings Ave., Salem, Ohio died Saturday July 17, 2010 at Salem Care Center, Salem, Ohio following a short illness.
He was born near Lewisville, Ohio on November 22, 1917 a son of the late Fred Cabot Billman and Vida Ethel Ogg Billman.
He was a graduate of Lewisville High School, Lewisville, Ohio and a graduate of Muskingum College, New Concord, Ohio.
Charles was a retired insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Salem, Ohio and also attended the Lewisville United Methodist Church, Lewisville, Ohio. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran serving during W.W.II in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Perry Masonic Lodge, Salem, Ohio; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Youngstown, Ohio; York Rite and Eastern Star, Salem, Ohio; Shrine Club in Cleveland, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Meek and Mary Stephen; two brothers, John Billman and James Billman.
Surviving are his wife, Adelaide Rubel Billman whom he married on June 6, 1942; two sons, Lloyd (Andrea) Billman of Garrettsville, Ohio, Dwight Billman of Salem, Ohio; one sister, Myrtie Baker of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren: Jeff Billman, Perry Billman, Hallie Linderbaum; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery, Lewisville, Ohio with full military graveside services.
