He was a native of Schnellville, Ind., a review clerk for the' U.S. Postal Service and a Navy veteran pf the Korean War. Survivors: his wife, the former Rosemary Woods; two daughters, Mary E. and Barbara A. Block; two sons, William E. Block of Mitchell, Ind and Thomas R. Block; three sisters, Margie Huber, Mary A. Erickson and Frieda M. Corbin; two "brothers, Ernest E. Block of Evans-ville and Eugene C. Block; and a grandchild. Funeral, 10 a.m. Friday, Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 760 Eastern Parkway, with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway, from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday nd Thursday.
