Birth: Nov. 1, 1928 Billings Yellowstone County Montana, USA Death: Dec. 2, 1998 Portland Multnomah County Oregon, USA A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 1998, in Calvin Presbyterian Church in Tigard for Robert Lawrence Holton, who died Dec. 2 at age 70. Mr. Holton was born Nov. 1, 1928, in Billings, Mont. He received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the University of Montana, master's degree from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree and doctoral degree from Oregon State University. He was a research biologist in the School of Oceanography at OSU for more than 10 years. Earlier he had been an associate professor at Eastern Oregon State College and a high school teacher and coach in the Pacific Northwest. He was a member of the church. Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Holton of Portland; and sons, Robert C. of Stayton and Douglas of Portland. Private entombment will be in River View Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Young's Funeral Home in Tigard.
