She was born Nov. 6, 1918, in Franklin. Her parents were George D. and Monta E. (Moore) Weddle. She married Robert G. McGinnis on Dec. 19, 1941, in Westfield. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1999. Survivors include two sons, Roger (Judy) McGinnis and Rex McGinnis, both of Franklin; a daughter, Karen (Daniel) Hardin of Franklin; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Scott) Smith of Carmel; and a great-grandson, Conner Smith of Carmel. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Helen Weddle of Franklin and Jane Weddle of Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Robert; two brothers, Dallas D. Weddle and Elmo L. Weddle; three brothers-in law; and three sisters-in-law. She graduated from Trafalgar High School in 1936 and Ball State Teachers College. She taught primary school for several years in Johnson and Hendricks counties. She also was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Indiana State Teachers Association. The Rev. John Elliot will conduct a funeral service at noon Thursday at Jessen Funeral Home, 197 E. Jefferson St., Franklin. Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
