Florence E. Dahm
Florence E. Dahm, nee Haas, 81, of Belleville, IL, born January 11, 1924, in Belleville, IL, died Thursday, December 29, 2005, at Four Fountains Convalescent Center, Belleville, IL.Mrs. Dahm was a beauty operator with her sister, Viola Eros, for a number of years. She was previously employed at A.D. Schilling D.D.S. and also at the publication center at Our Lady of the Snows. Mrs. Dahm was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. She served as past president of both St. Mary's School Mother's Club and the Ladies Sodality at St. Mary's Church. Mrs. Dahm was also a member of Althoff's Mother's Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Catherine, nee Reeb, Haas; a sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Floyd Mueller; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albert Eros, Marlene Haas, Lucille (Clarence) Dohrman, Dorothy Dahm, Edward Dahm, Cyril Dahm and Cletus Dahm; and an uncle, William Hermann. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Oliver L. Dahm, whom she married October 16, 1954; a daughter, Ann Niebur of Belleville, IL; a son, David (Martha) Dahm of Ladue, MO; three grandchildren, Phillip Niebur and Sara (Brian) Archer, both of Swansea, IL, and L. Clayton Dahm of Ladue, MO; two brothers and two sisters, Paul (Rita) Haas, Viola Eros and Cathy (Robert) Becker, all of Belleville, IL, and Henry (Jane) Haas of Red Bud, IL;an aunt, Eleanor Hermann of Belleville, IL; two brothers-in-law, Maurice Dahm of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Delmar (Marilyn) Dahm of Belleville, IL;a sister-in-law, Delores Dahm of Belleville, IL; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stella Wagner Endowment Fund for St. Mary's School. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2005, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and from 8 to 10:40 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2005 at the funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral procession will leave at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2005, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with the Rev. John Myler and the Rev. Ralph Haas concelebrating. Interment will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
