Alfred Dewald, 80, Wishek, N.D., died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, in Wishek Community Hospital. Mr. Dewald was born Aug. 30, 1919, in Streeter, N.D. He grew up and attended school near Streeter. From 1941 to 1945 he served with the U.S. Army, including service in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of World War II. After his military discharge, he returned to Streeter. On Nov. 2, 1946, he married Irene Wutzke in Medina, N.D. They farmed near Streeter. In 1960 they moved near Lehr, N.D., where they farmed. They moved to Wishek in 1978. He is survived by his wife; five sons, Alfred Jr. (Cheryl), Adrian (MaryAnn), both Wishek, Aaron (Bonnie), Fredonia, N.D., Anthony (Marie), Lehr, Arlo (Elizabeth), Battle Ground, Wash.; three daughters, Norma (Bruce) Smith, Wishek, Verna (Lee) Metzger, Fargo, Myra (Steve) Gregory, South Heart, N.D.; ...
