Friday in McGowen-Reid Funeral Home for Ewart Pugh, 83, of 1349 Forest Glen Dr., who died Tuesday at Akron City Hospital.Born in Monroe County, Ohio, he had lived in Cuyahoga Falls 22 years, coming here from Ozark. He had been ill about six years.Mr. Pugh was a former school teacher and district superintendent of schools in Monroe County for 37 years. He retired from that post in 1924.He leaves his wife Lucinda; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ryan of the Falls and Mrs. Olive Adair of Woodsfield, Ohio; four sons Ray and Bernard of Cuyahoga Falls; Roy of Bath; and Earl of Akron; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Martin of Barnesville, Ohio and Mrs. Elizabeth Swain of Ozark, Ohio.Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 P.M. tonight.
