Published: July 30, 2003 POLICE BRIEFS SPENCER - Two Roane County residents have died of injuries received in a Sunday afternoon crash near Spencer. Joseph Harmon, 53, died at the scene of the two-vehicle crash, said Trooper Jay Powers, State Police spokesman. On Monday, Dorothy Harmon, 65, died in CAMC General Hospital, said Andy Wessels, hospital spokesman. Joseph Harmon was driving north on U.S. 119 and approaching a curve at about 1 p.m. when he was forced to take evasive action to avoid a southbound vehicle, Powers said. Despite his efforts, the two vehicles collided. George Pulfinelle, 43, of Elkview, driver of the other vehicle, received minor injuries and was treated at the scene, Powers said.
