Thomas Charles Beaudrie, age 68, of South Rockwood, died March 13, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Friends may call from 5 pm until 9 pm today and 12 noon until 9 pm Tuesday at the Ford Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 23620 N. Huron River Dr., Rockwood, where the rosary will be recited Tuesday evening. Funeral services will be Wednesday with 9:45am prayers from the funeral home and 10:30am Mass of Resurrection from St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Rockwood of which he was a lifetime member. Fr. James Rafferty will officiate. Burial will in Mt. Calvary Cemetery under the auspices of the Downriver Veterans Honor Guard.
Born March 10, 1942 in Monroe, Thomas was the son of Lummie Charles & Ava Julia (Lambrix) Beaudrie. He married Kathleen Sue Lechy November 22, 1968.
A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Thomas worked production in the Automotive industry, first for Firestone in Wyandotte and then for Motor Wheel in Ypsilanti until his retirement in 1997.
He belonged to the Moose and the Marine Corps League.
An avid outdoorsman, Thomas enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of his favorite pastimes was swinging on the deck in Sarnia, Ontario overlooking Lake Huron, watching the Sailboats, Fishing Boats and his 7 grandchildren swimming and playing on the beach.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, Thomas is survived by his children: James Thomas Beaudrie, Elizabeth Renee (Gerald) Lovett and Paul George Beaudrie all of South Rockwood. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Morgan Taylor Beaudrie, Jared Thomas Lovett, David Paul Lovett, Tori Lynn Beaudrie, Grant Albert Lovett, Sarah Elizabeth Lovett and Peyton Paul Beaudrie.
Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Bernard Joseph Beaudrie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Rockwood.
