KAY SCHIFFLI, of Butler, died Sunday, June 21, 2009. Coming to us on May 13, 1942, she was the daughter of Marion and Ercel (Tyson) Moore. She married Max Schiffli on March 6, 1965. They began their family with Doug Schiffli, Melissa Schiffli and Jason Schiffli. Family members were added with Nancy Thurber and Liz Schiffli (Renkenberger). "She was devoted to her grandchildren Ethan, Audrey, Seth and Avery. She was also devoted to her husband and family. She cared for those around her. She brought happiness with her smile, warmth and love to the hearts and lives of her family and friends. She was known to spend countless hours working on her water garden and entertaining all who came to share the beauty she created with Max. Her spirit will live on in her family, children and grandchildren. Kay is now at peace as the Lord holds her in his heart." Also surviving are her mother; brothers, Jay and Wilbur Moore; and a sister, Freida Blair. She was preceded in death by her father, Marion "Pete" Moore; and brother, Walter Moore. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Auburn, with calling one hour prior. Father Babasino Fernandez officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo, with rosary recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Auburn Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to masses at the church or DeKalb County Heart Association .
