  [S927] Obituary. Delucenay Leo J, 69, died Feb. 16 at his home on W. Albion St.. He and his wife came to Avilla in 1947 from Elkhart and opened Delucenay?s Drug Store. They owned and operated the store until July 31, 1978. He was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, the Avilla Chamber of Commerce, was on the advisory board of Allen Twp and a member of the Avilla Fire Department, Kendallville Elks, Avilla Lions Club and Elkhart Knights of Columbus. He was born November 19, 1910 in DeKalb County to George and Anna (May) Delucenay. He married Kathryn Wilks Jan. 16, 1937 in Elkhart. Surviving are the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Judy) Bohn, Pierre, S.D., Mrs. Joseph (Sharon) Duehmig, Avilla, Mrs. Jon (Mary Sue) Hurley, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Bruce (Beth Ann) Beard, Dallas, Texas; three sons, Dennis, Merrillville, Kent, Bloomington and John, at home; four sisters, Francis Herendeen, Mary Burmeister, Hilda Sanderson and Agnes Frantz, all of Elkhart; three brothers, Julius, Elkhart, Tony, Florida and Hubert, Bristol; and 16 grandchildren. One brother, Elmer, preceded him in death. Services Tuesday in St. Mary?s Catholic Church.
