WHIPPLE ? Freda Mildred Myers, 92, of Campbell Run Road, Whipple, died at her home at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday evening (July 19, 2005).
She was born Sept. 15, 1912, in Germantown, a daughter of John and Josephine Westbrook Hendershot. She had spent most of her life in the Germantown community and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and needle work. She was a member of the Paw Paw United Methodist Church.
She was married to Glen Maxwell Myers, who preceded her in death, and was later married to James Arthur Myers, who is deceased. She is survived by five sons, James G. Myers (Opal) of Lower Salem, Raymond Wayne Myers (Bonnie) and George Irvin Myers (Grace) of Marietta, Everett Dale Myers of Rinard Mills, and Robert E. Myers of the home; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She is the last surviving member of her family and was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Hendershot and Gale Hendershot; one sister, Goldie Hendershot; her daughter-in-law, Louise Myers; one granddaughter-in-law, Sandra Myers; and one great-grandson, Christopher Myers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in Paw Paw Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from this afternoon until the hour of the services.
