WOOSTER -- Edna P. Petty, 94, of Wooster, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Horn Nursing Center.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, is handling arrangements. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Edna was born Nov. 10, 1913, in Monroe County, to James and Cora (Blazer) Covert. She married Clifford Petty on Dec. 9, 1931. He died May 13, 1990.
She was employed by The College of Wooster as a cook for 10 years, and also worked at the Wooster Brush Company in the custodial department for eight years, retiring in 1976.
Edna was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Eastern Star.
She volunteered for the Wayne County Democratic Party. Edna raised various and many plants and enjoyed both a vegetable garden and flower garden. She worked extensively on genealogy, mostly on the Petty family.
Surviving are children, Elinor Marlene Cupp of Lincoln, Neb., and Malcolm "Mac" L. Petty of Crawfordsville, Ind.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Gilbert Covert of Plainview, Allie Stacy of Canton, Flossie LeMasters of Moundsville, W.Va., Nellie Conway of Dover, and Ruth Pickens of Mount Pleasant, W.Va.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and sisters, Stanley Covert, Norman Covert, Zelma Miracle, Catherine Copeland, Gladys Dometrovich and Martha Stine.
