Helen Rose ?Wimpy? Voellinger, nee Heiligenstein, 81, of Belleville, IL, born March 7, 1926, in Freeburg, IL, died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at Bohannon Nursing Home, Lebanon, IL.
Mrs. Voellinger was a registered nurse retired from Memorial Convalescent Center, Belleville, IL. She was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James R. Voellinger, whom she married April 15, 1950, and who died June 26, 2006; her parents, Francis X. and Ida, nee Sintzel, Heiligenstein; three brothers, Father Francis X. Heiligenstein, John Heiligenstein,and Joseph Heiligenstein; and two sisters, Marie Wolf and Gertrude Shoemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Constance V. Merrell of Swansea, IL
Linda D. Roberts of Fulton, NY,
and Mary F. (Robert) Logue of Phoenix, AZ;
four grandchildren, Keith and Curtis Roberts,
and Robert and Laura Logue;
a sister, Magdalen Janssen of Freeburg, IL;
a brother, Bernard (Lois) Heiligenstein of Carlyle, IL;
and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral procession will leave at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with the Rev. Stanley Konieczny officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.
