Obituary
Gerald (Jerry) Dauenhauer
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God has laid, you see. I took His hand when I heard His call. I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found the peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, and I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee. God wanted me now. He set me free. To all my loved ones who I leave on Earth, I will be waiting for you. Don't Hurry.
Jerry went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2010. He was born May 16, 1953 in Yakima to Florence and Paul Dauenhauer. He was a son, brother, father, grandpa, uncle, and a friend to many. He loved all of his family, chosen family, in-laws, and out-laws alike. He loved waterskiing, 4x4ing, fast cars, and the fast life. He lived hard and played hard and in his own words, "I have had a good life". He was preceded in death by his father Paul, and his grandson Cody Dauenhauer.
He is survived by his loving mother Florence Dauenhauer of Yakima, his sister Sharon and John of Arlington, his nieces Amy, Jessica, and Angela, his companion: Concha Sava, his children: Travis and Naomi Reedy, Jesse and Brianna, Jerry and Jessica, Rosella, Levi, and Stormy Dauenhauer, his grandchildren: Jason, Jacob, Alyssa, Brooke, Dylan, Jerry, James, Samantha, Juliana, Molly, Lily, Jordan, Kenneth, and Eva, his great grandson: Nathan, and for the many good friends and family that weren't mentioned, we are sorry.
